Eromanga holds a 50% interest in the concession agreements for Blocks REC-T-59 and REC-T-138  in the onshore Reconcavo Basin.  Silver Marlin holds the remaining 50% and is operator.

The Joint Venture completed a 118km seismic program in August 2007 and a bottom-up remodelling of the extensive drilling and seismic data that was available in the area.   The two drilling targets were prioritized from a ranking of seven targets that the operator identified over the original five Joint Venture blocks.  As a result of this ranking process, three of the original five joint venture blocks were relinquished to the ANP in early 2008.

The Reconcavo Basin has been Brazil's most  prolific on-shore producing area with production starting in the 1970's   Because of this long history, the Basin has a well understood petroleum system, an extensive data base of seismic and well information, excellent infrastructure and experienced contractors and serrvice companies are locally available.
